Large Kashmiri jhoomer peacock pendant pair with glass jewels. About 4.75 inches from ring to bottom of dangles, and about 2.5 inches wide. Matakai pendants are tradtionally worn on a headpiece, with these matching pieces handing over the sides or slightly toward the front. However this pair has been converted to earrings (!) by the addition of hook style earwires (could easily be removed to use as pendants). Made of silvery mixed metals and they have been polished. Pair is matching. Quite showy and versatile. These pendants are very heavy and I would NOT recommend using them as earrings. It probably could be done if you have stretched piercings and wear tunnels, but with the thin, modern earwires through regular western piercings I think they would be much too heavy. They are better suited to using as pendants on costuming or accessories such as headpieces.
