Extra Large Kashmiri matching pendant pair with red and blue jewels. About 4.25 inches from ring to bottom of dangles, and about 4.25 inches wide. These large beautiful pendants are traditionally worn on a headpiece, hanging over the sides or slightly toward the front of the head. Made of mixed metals and unpolished. Pair is matching, but the large glass jewels are different colors. This pair has been used in country as evidenced by the old bits of fabric on the back that are very worn and carry their share of tribal grime! Kuchi pendants are very versatile and can be used for many costuming purposes.
The Kashmir is a region of the northwestern India. It is bounded by the Uygur Autonomous Region of Xinjiang to the northeast and the Tibet Autonomous Region to the east (both parts of China), by the Indian states of Himachal-Pradesh and Punjab to the south, by Pakistan to the west, and by Afghanistan to the northwest and personal adorment from this region reflects the influences of all of these areas while still retaining it's own unique jewelry traditions.
